Few days to the governorship election in Abia State, the Abia Central zonal secretary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Moses Osinachi Iroegbulam has dumped the party, ABN TV reports.

The state is expected to participate in the March 11 governorship elections in 28 states in the country.

In a letter titled and sighted by ABN TV, “Letter of Resignation” and dated March 6, Iroegbulam said he was resigning from the party to seek political relevance elsewhere, accusing the party of not doing enough to recognise him.

According to him, his resignation “is borne out of my desire to seek political relevance elsewhere since my effort to be treated as a stakeholder at all levels of the party from the state to the ward has failed, indicating I have no future with and in the PDP as it is presently constituted”.

He said he has also forgiven all those who failed him in different ways that contributed to his exit from the PDP, urging all those that may be affected by his resignation to bear with him.

“I have as well resigned my appointments as the Zonal Secretary, Abia Central and all PDP pro groups that belonged to Igwebuike Youth Initiatives, Ahiwe Victory Network and others should please take note”, he stated.
