Aliji Ure Onuoha, daughter of Chief David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, the Mayor of Ohafia local government area of Abia has been honoured by the US Army for her outstanding achievement.

A medal of achievement from the US Army department says the honour is in recognition of Aliji’s achievement during the change of command inventory from 27 January through 2 February 2024.

“Specialist Aliji Onuoha’s actions and dedication to duty reflects great credit upon herself, 300th Military Police Brigade and the United States Army” inscription on the medal reads.

Her father the Ohafia Council boss who took to his Facebook page to celebrate her daughter’s achievement said, “And so, the soldier in the house, Aliji Ure Onuoha, serving in the US Army, makes us proud as she receives an award from the Department of the Army. Congratulations, baby girl. More awaits you by His Grace!

Aliji was enlisted in the service United States of American Army as a cadet in 2021

She was among the 168 officers who made it to graduation in November of the year, out of 250 persons shortlisted for the course, ABN TV learnt.
