The African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has reportedly been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre in Lagos in connection with an alleged cyberstalking case involving popular cleric, Pastor Chris Okafor.

According to information available to ABN TV, Ogala was remanded on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, pending the hearing of her bail application.

Earlier in the day, the governorship candidate shared a video reportedly recorded at the court premises, confirming her presence for proceedings relating to the case.

Details of the charges, the court’s ruling and the next date for the bail hearing have yet to be independently confirmed by ABN TV.

Ogala later responded to ABN TV via WhatsApp chat, saying, “On my way to prison please.”

Ogala, who is seeking to govern Abia State under the platform of the AAC in the 2027 general elections, has been vocal on political and public-interest issues.

The reported remand does not constitute a conviction, and the allegations against her remain subject to judicial determination.

ABN TV will continue to monitor developments in the case and provide updates as more verified information becomes available.
