A philanthropist and Interpol Systems Consultant, Sir Chikwe Udensi on Monday made an unscheduled visit to Aro USA Hospital at Old Army Barack in Arochukwu where he made a donation of over N2.5m worth of drugs.

Speaking shortly after the donation, Sir Udensi, a frontline governorship aspirant in Abia decried the level of fatalities traceable to malaria in the country.

He said more Nigerians have died of malaria than COVID-19, noting that the donation is part of his contributions to ensure that Abians live a healthy life.

He also used the opportunity to tour round the newly completed maternity ward which is awaiting commissioning.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality of equipment found in the ward, saying it will go a long way on reducing infant and maternal mortality rate.

Sir Udensi also expressed readiness to liaise with the management of the hospital to provide other facilities that are lacking in the hospital, particularly beds and beddings in the male and female wards.
