Speaking shortly after the donation, Sir Udensi, a frontline governorship aspirant in Abia decried the level of fatalities traceable to malaria in the country.

He said more Nigerians have died of malaria than COVID-19, noting that the donation is part of his contributions to ensure that Abians live a healthy life.

He also used the opportunity to tour round the newly completed maternity ward which is awaiting commissioning.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality of equipment found in the ward, saying it will go a long way on reducing infant and maternal mortality rate.
