According to Football Insider, Chelsea is interested in replacing under-fire manager Graham Potter with Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi.

De Zerbi was the man who took over for Potter at Brighton.

De Zerbi is regarded as a top coach, and Chelsea executives reportedly hold him in high regard.

Potter is having a bad run at Stamford Bridge, having lost three consecutive games in all competitions.

Despite the fact that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly initially chose to stick by him to turn the club’s fortunes around, the Englishman is thought to be living on borrowed time at the west London club.

According to the report, while Chelsea is still sticking by Potter for the time being, there have been quiet talks behind the scenes about potential replacements, with De Zerbi at the top of the shortlist.

The 43-year-old Italian is regarded as an exciting young manager who, with his modern and radical management style, has the potential to take Chelsea to the next level.
