President Muhammadu Buhari has landed in Yola, Adamawa State for Monday’s campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag-bearer for the 2023 election, Bola Tinubu.

ABN TV reports that the president was in attendance when Tinubu kicked off his campaign with a rally in Jos, the capital of Plateau state, in November 2022, but has been absent ever since.

Politicians and well-wishers, especially the loyalists of the APC, welcomed the president.

Samaila Tadawus, the state APC Chairman, expressed optimism that the coming of the president would further increase the electoral chances of the party, saying Buhari’s presence will definitely add value to their candidates.

Tadawus stated that the party was heading for victory in all future elections, especially in the state governorship election where a female candidate, Senator Aishatu Binani, is contesting.

Buhari is also expected to join Tinubu’s campaign train at Lagos, Adamawa, Cross River, Katsina, Imo, Yobe, Kwara, Katsina, Ogun, and Nasarawa.
