The Senator representing Imo West constituency, Sen. Rochas Okorocha on Sunday reportedly escaped death by whiskers after his car was riddled with bullets by suspected thugs, ABN TV reports.
Also in his convoy was Mr. Uche Nwosu, the governorship candidate of Action Alliance in the 2019 governorship election in Imo state.
The former Imo state governor was said to have visited Royal Spring Palm Hotel, Owerri when he was attacked.
A Facebook user, Darlington Flowryms Ibekwe who was said to have witnessed the incident wrote, “SCENES FROM ROYAL SPRING PALM
“Vehicles belonging to Senator Rochas Okorocha destroyed by Chinasa Nwaneri and Eric Uwakwe alongside there thugs who were heavily armed.”
All efforts to reach the lawmaker for comment at the moment of this report proved abortive.
