Bandits kidnap Emir of Kajuru, 13 family members

A group of armed Bandits have kidnapped the Emir of Kajuru and 13 members of his family, ABN TV reports.

Alhaji Alhassan Adamu Kajuru and 13 of his family members in his palace in Kaduna in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 85-year-old was abducted alongside Salama Kajuru, Abubakar Kajuru, and his grandchildren.

An eyewitness disclosed: “We are afraid the Emir might not survive it as he’s too old to undergo the rigours of trekking for hours.”

It was also gathered that the Emir summoned a security meeting over a threat to kidnap him on Friday.

So far no official statement from the police and the state government.
