Argentina Beat Croatia, Qualify For 2022 World Cup Final

An inspired Lionel Messi scored from the penalty spot and Julian Alvarez struck twice as Argentina beat Croatia 3-0 on Tuesday to reach their second World Cup final in eight years.

Argentina will play in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Lionel Messi scored one and provided two assists, as the Copa America holders outclassed Croatia 3-0.

They will now face either Morocco or France in Sunday’s final.

Messi opened the scoring in the first half, after Julian Alvarez was fouled by goalkeeper, Dominik Livakovic.

The 35-year-old stepped up and smashed the awarded penalty high into the net.

Alvarez then burst through to double Argentina’s lead before the interval.

With over an hour played in the second half, Messi bamboozled Josko Gvardiol to set up Alvarez for a third.
