The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Thursday reversed the tribunal court judgement sacking Engr. Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to affirm him as the governor of Nasarawa State.

The appellate court, in its judgement, set aside the split judgement of the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which declared David  Ombugadu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of the March 18 Governorship election held in the state.

The three-member panel of the Court of Appeal held in the judgement that the appeal brought before by Governor Sule succeeds and set aside the decision of the Tribunal.

The Tribunal had, in a two-to-one judgement of a three-member panel of justices, declared  Ombugadu as the winner of the March 18, 2023 Nasarawa State governorship election.

A dissenting ruling by one of the three Justices, however, upheld the election of Governor Sule.
