Anglican Bishop Urges Christians To Drop Their Will, Serve God In His Own Terms

The Bishop of Umuahia Angelican communion, His Grace Rt. Rev Jeffery Obijuru Ibeahuchi has charged Christians to live by God’s standard not according to their own choice and will, ABN TV reports.

The clergy while speaking on Sunday during the induction/ institution of the Vicar of St Andrew’s Church Isiama Afara, Umuahia Abia State, Venerable Gerald Nwabuisi on the topic the Door Will Soon Close, said that some Christian faithful have been trapped because they want to serve God in their own will.

Drawing a lesson from the book of Luke chapter 13 verses 23 – 25, the Bishop stated that the world is full of generation that wants property, development, progress and everything according to their own terms.

Emphasizing that it is possible for one to pay tithe, sing in the choir, contribute in building the church etc and still go to hell, the man of God admolished Christians to open their hearts now, adding that a time comes when God will shut the door of salvation.

He further charge Christians to learn to serve God in his own terms and conditions.

Highlight of the church service was handing over of the church keys, deed of institution/ mandate of induction to the vicar by the chancellor of the Diocese.

The service witnessed the presence of chairman Diocesan Laity Council, Sir Frank Ibe, former General manager ASEPA Hon Eze David Okwuleghe, the wife of the Bishop Dr. Mrs Gospel Jeo Ibeahuchi, notable sons and daughters of Isiama Afara, members of CMF, WG, MU, ACB, AYF and children.
