The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN FCT 1 Abuja branch will host the 2023 edition of Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme of the association.

A release on Monday by the Central Planning Committee said the 3-day programme which has as the theme “Understanding Financial Disclosures On Sustainability” commences Monday, 6th — Wednesday 8th February, 2023.

Venue is AGNL Wizzy’s Place Event Complex, Plot 575D Odumegwu Ojukwu Way, Gudu District, Abuja while time is 9am daily.

According to the statement, the ANAN Chairman FCT 1, Abuja branch Mr. Elisha Andrew Shavah FCNA appreciates the association’s national body for according his branch the honour of hosting the 2023 MCPD programme.

He urged all members of ANAN and relevant stakeholders to utilise the window of this opportunity to gain new knowledge on trends in the noble accounting profession.

According to Shavah, seasoned professionals have been carefully selected to enrich the discourse at the event.

The MCPD programme will take place under the distinguished chairmanship of Sani Magaji Tambawal, FCNA, the Acting Clerk to the National Assembly.

Also expected as Guests of Honour include, Mr. Madu Hamman, the MD/CEO Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Air Vice Marshall J.A Ochomma, Chief of Accounts and Budget, Nigerian Air Force as well as Haruna Y. Abdullahi, the Acting Executive Chairman, FCT Inland Revenue Service.

The national leadership of the association, under the President and Chairman of Council, Rev. Canon Prof. Chuka Osisioma, FCNA and the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kayode Olushola Fasua, FCNA has also carefully chosen topics to be discussed to include, Overview of Sustainability and Climate Associated Financial Disclosures, Issues in goal setting, metrics and risk management and Managing strategy on climate associated Financial Disclosures and Reporting.

Others include, Digital and Innovative Marketing Strategies for Accountancy Professionals, Regulatory Dynamics and Sustainable MSME Growth and many more.

The Central Planning Committee therefore urged all participants to complete their registration process and pick up the relevant materials at designated centre.
