A former chairman of NDDC, Chief Onyema Ugochukwu on Friday played host to the Labour Party governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti at his home in Umule, Umuahia where he made an appeal to the political actors to maintain peaceful and violent-free campaigns ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Otti, a former MD of the defunct Diamond Bank was accompanied by other chieftains of the party, including the House of Representatives Candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia, Chief Obi Aguocha, and state House of Assembly candidate (Ohuhu), Mr. Smart Iheoma.

Regarding the House of Representatives slot for Ikwuano/Umuahia, the elder statesman aligned with the position of Prince B.B. Apugo on Equity, Fairness, and Justice.

He said the position should be occupied by an Ohuhu person.

“For any Ohuhu person, the project should be titled AHANYIEFULA”, he said.

Chief Ugochukwu also urged for the support of other clans in Ikwuano/Umuahia for an Ohuhu indigene to emerge the next House of Representatives member, saying it is in the interest of fairness and peaceful co-existence.
