2027: “We Do Not Take Any of Your Votes For Granted.” — Hon. Ibe Tells LP Members

The Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has called on members and supporters of the Labour Party to remain steadfast in protecting their votes and sustaining support for Governor Alex Otti as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.

The federal lawmaker made the call while addressing party leaders, stakeholders, and candidates at the Abia North Senatorial District Labour Party Stakeholders and Candidates Strategic Summit held in Abiriba.

Hon. Osonwa expressed appreciation to party faithful across Abia North for their commitment and sacrifices in advancing the Labour Party’s vision, noting that the successes recorded by the party so far were made possible through the collective efforts of its members.

“We are here to appreciate you for the work already done. From the bottom of our hearts, we are grateful. We do not take any of your votes for granted,” he said.

The lawmaker stressed the importance of safeguarding every lawful vote during the elections, urging party members, especially in Ohafia Local Government Area, to remain vigilant throughout the electoral process.

He maintained that protecting the mandate freely given by the electorate would be as important as mobilising voters before election day.

Hon. Osonwa also reassured party supporters that the Labour Party possesses the capacity to defend its electoral victories, while urging members not to relent in their commitment to the party’s success.

He appealed to stakeholders not to disappoint Governor Alex Otti, whom he described as a leader committed to delivering good governance to the people of Abia State.

“Please, my brothers and sisters, don’t let the Governor down, and he will not let you down. We have all it takes to fight for our votes,” he stated.

The federal lawmaker further called for continued unity among party members, expressing confidence that with sustained grassroots mobilisation, vigilance, and collective commitment, the Labour Party would record another successful outing in the 2027 general elections.

The Abia North Labour Party Stakeholders and Candidates Strategic Summit brought together senior government officials, elected representatives, party executives, candidates, and grassroots leaders to strategise on strengthening party structures and mobilising support ahead of the 2027 elections.
