2023: Ohuhu Clan Talks Tough, Insists On Producing Reps Member For Ikwuano/Umuahia Fed Constituency

PDP Elders in Ohuhu clan of Umuahia North L.G.A., of Abia State has vowed that it will resist any attempt to deny the clan the House of Representatives seat for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency in 2023, stating that it is in the spirit of fairness, equity and justice.

The PDP Elders noted that an Ohuhu candidate will guarantee the party victory in the upcoming election in 2023.

In a communique issued by (HE) H/Chief. Empire Kanu (Ikoro Ohuhu), H/Chief. Onyema Ugochukwub(Ikoro Ohuhu) and H/Chief. Uzodinma Okpara (Omekannaya) the PDP Elders urged other clans in the Federal constituency to support Ohuhu to clinch the position of House of Representatives member, warning that anything short of this will be resisted.

It says, “The Elders of Ohuhu clan of Umuahia North L.G.A., of Abia State hereby issue this communique in full support of the call for equity, fairness, and justice in our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that will position us for a great victory in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

“That it is the rightful turn of Ndi Ohuhu to occupy the Federal House of Representatives seat of the Ikwuano-Umuahia Federal Constituency. The share of representation in relevant elective positions from the Umuahia North L.G.A., is utterly unbalanced and we justly seek to prevent the perpetuation of this injustice in the upcoming dispensation.

“We call on our brother clans across the Ikwuano-Umuahia Federal Constituency to support our collective quest for the entrenchment of equity and support the Ohuhu cause, for the Federal House of Representatives seat come 2023.

“Finally, the Ohuhu clan will resist any attempt by anybody or group of people, to subvert justice and equity by denying Ohuhu our rights come 2023.”
