Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba believes France has the experience and firepower to overcome Argentina in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Sunday.

Recall that France defeated Morocco 2-0 in the semi-final while Argentina edged Croatia 3-0.

The reigning champions will attempt to become the first team in 60 years to retain the FIFA World Cup trophy on Sunday when they face Argentina this weekend.

In a chat with BBC Sport, Drogba stated that France is a competitive team that has what it takes to win the game.

“France does have the advantage of being in the final and winning it four years ago,” Drogba told BBC Sport.

“You know how to handle the pressure, you have been there, but they have new players and it will be new for them.

“It might be the first time some of them have played against Lionel Messi as well. The pressure will be there.

“This France team is very, very competitive, especially with Didier Deschamps as their manager. They want to win it back to back.”
