The Director, ABN TV, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali has felicitated with the Senator representing Abia North senatorial district, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu as he marks his 60th birthday.

Mr. Okali in a birthday message to Kalu, the Senate Chief Whip described him as an astute and dogged leader who has sacrificed a lot in search of equity and justice for the people of Abia state in particular and Ndigbo in general.

“Senator Kalu has stood tall in the defence of his people in thick and thin. He is truly a blessing not only to the people of his immediate constituency by the state and South East region at large.

“Even at the face of dangers to his person, he never ceases to fight for what he believes is right for his people. The current travails of the former is a stepping stone to his glorious future” he said.

Mr. Okali while calling on Ndigbo to jettison hate and bad spirit said the unity of purpose is key towards achieving a meaningful development in the region.

Board member, National Films and Video Censor Board (NFVCB) Princess Ikodiya Uche has congratulated the Senate Chief Whip and the senator representing Abia North, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

In a message to identify with Kalu on his special day on Tuesday, Princess Ikodiya said Kalu’s popularity has for decades waxed stronger across the country on the account of his selfless services to the people irrespective of religious and tribal affiliations.

The member representing Bende North constituency Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu has congratulated Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, the senator representing Abia North on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

Hon. Chukwu who is the deputy minority leader in a birthday message to Kalu described him as a proud Igbo son and a rare breed of leader who has committed his entire lifetime in the service of humanity.

The Lagos State Government on Monday shut down six hospitals in the state after some workers of the hospitals were exposed to Coronavirus.

The hospital was decontaminated on Monday and place under lock for two weeks.

The hospitals include St Nicholas, Lagos Island branch; First Cardiology Consultants Hospital, Ikoyi (where Abba Kyari died. St Edwards Hospital, Ajah, Vedic Lifecare Hospital, Lekki; County Hospital, Ogba and Premier Specialist Hospital, Victoria Island.

The development was revealed by the Commissioner for Health in the state, Prof Akin Abayomi, he further stated that Kyari died from complications of COVID-19 at First Cardiology Consultants in Lagos State which is listed among the hospitals above.

Vevic Lifecare Hospital in Lekki, in a statement, noted that the management suspended operations for approximately ten days.

The management noted that the operations were suspended after a Coronavirus patient was inadvertently admitted at the facility and two hospital staff members contracted the deadly virus.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, says the death of Abba Kayri has two major implications on Nigeria.

ABN TV had reported earlier that Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to the President died of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Friday, April 17.

A statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity confirmed the development.

The Presidential media aide tweeted: “The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19 and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.

“May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly,” Adesina had tweeted.

Reacting to Kyari’s death in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, Kanu, who is on exile in the United Kingdom, said the first implication Kyari’s death has on Nigeria is that the country lost her de-facto President.

Kanu who has always referred to President Muhammadu Buhari has an impostor whose name is Jubril Al-Sudani from Sudan, said the second implication Kyari’s death has on Nigeria is that the billions allegedly stolen by the former Chief of Staff may not be recovered.
