Following a reported interception of Kano Almajiris at Enugu border by the state COVID-19 taskforce team, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) Worldwide has accused notorious Islamic extremists and Northern Elders of being the brains behind it, saying it is a grand plan to infest Ndigbo with coronavirus and ensure massive death is recorded in the region.

In a statement signed by President General of OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and the Secretary-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, it advised Southeast Governors to review the circumstances surrounding the decisions of Northern Governors to ban of Almajiris in the North, insisting that any almajiri found begging in the streets of the southeast must be sent back to their states.

Ban on Alamajiri: Ohanaeze Ndigbo issues Ultimatum to Almajiris street Beggars…Warn Against exportation of Kano Almajiris to Southeast…demand excavations.

(1) Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide had described the interception of Kano Almajiris at Enugu border by Enugu State covid19 taskforce, as a collaborative rogue Operations and nefarious activities of Notorious Islamic extremists and Northern Elders to export Coronavirus Almajiris index cases to the South East with evil intent to infect Igbos with Coronavirus and increase death tolls of COVID-19 index cases in the Southeast as witnessed in Kano recently, the recent Ban on Almajiris by Northern Governors and forceful evictions of Almajiris from Urban areas to rural region of the North or their States of origin is a deceptive ploy and rogue assignments hatched by Northern Elders and Governors but executed by Northern Musketeers to secretly export millions of Almajiris COVID-19 carriers under the guise of Cattle Conveyance from North to Southeast, especially at night to wreak havoc and destruction subsequently reduce Igbo population in the South East

(2) OYC appeal to the Southeast Governors to review the circumstances surrounding the decisions of Northern Governors on the ban of Almajiris from anywhere they are found back to their states of origin, and take decision to ensure that all Almajiris begging in the streets of Southeast are send back in line with established decisions of their own Northern Governors, this patriotic gesture will afford Southeast Governors the opportunities to help Their Northern Counterparts to receive their wards and empower them, as there’s no better time for it than now.

(3) OYC will not tolerate any kind of Almajiris system in the South East, this obnoxious policy seen in some Hausa quarters in Igboland will no longer be entertained, We will accommodate any Nigerian especially from the North and West doing genuine businesses in the South East, but alternatively, we are giving the Almajiris an ultimatum and grace of 14 days to evacuate from Igboland or face the hostilities that will follow suit. Igbo Youths will deal decisively with any street beggar anywhere in Igboland after 14 days from today’s 5th day of May 2020.
