Rev. Ume expressed optimism that in no distant time, the country will overcome the pandemic.

Nnamdi Kanu Is The ‘Moses’ Of Biafra, IPOB Blasts MASSOB

0

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to the challenges posed to its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by its sister group, the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, asking him to return to the country to fight, if he isn’t a coward.

IPOB stated that three things await freedom fighters like its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, which includes; imprisonment, exile, or death.

This, the group made known in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Emma Power.

IPOB alluded to the biblical story of the old testament when Moses escaped from Egypt but later came back to deliver his people from slavery, describing Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, MASSOB leader, like a jester.

The IPOB said Chief Uwazuruike and the MASSOB does not know what freedom fighting is all about.

That our leader, Nnamdi Kanu being outside the country does not mean he is a coward, he is there preparing the coming of the new nation and the new nation is about to come and Uwazuruike is there playing to the gallery. That he is registering our Biafra in UNPO, is making jest of himself,” IPOB said.

Uwazuruike should be told in clear terms that Moses ran away when the Egyptians were after his life and at the end, he led the people of Israel out of Egypt to the promised land.

“Freedom fighting, it’s either you are in prison or in exile or you are dead.

“Those are the three things that happen to a freedom fighter, either he is in prison talking about freedom, in exile still talking about freedom or they kill you.”

Clear The Refuse In 72 Hours Or Forfeit Your Property, Ikpeazu Orders Aba Land Owner

0

The Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has given a 72 hour ultimatum to the owners of the portion of land along Umuocham Road Aba, which has been converted into an illegal refuse dump to completely clear the place of refuse or risk losing the place to the Abia State Government, ABN TV reports.

The Governor gave this ultimatum on Saturday while on inspection of the rehabilitation work on Umuocham Road. The Contractor handling the project told the Governor that the refuse overflow from the land remains a major challenge to the longevity of any work done around that area since all the drainage channels have been blocked by the refuse.

According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, the Governor decried situations where people convert every available empty space into a refuse dump leading to consistent deterioration of road infrastructure. He expressed deep disappointment and ordered the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) to move into that place by Tuesday morning should the owners fail to take action by close of business on Monday next week.

The Governor directed ASEPA to clean up the portion while the Abia State Public Utilities Maintenance Agency (APUMA) to immediately convert the place into an open garden owned by the State Government.

The Governor stated it clearly that he will revoke whatever right of occupancy held by the owners of the land and convert it to a public use since they have failed to take care of the place and allowing it to constitute both a major health nuisance and a threat to drainage channels and roads around that area.

Governor Ikpeazu stated that Government will not fold its arms and allow the negligence of a group of people to destroy public infrastructure built with huge public funds.

Earlier, the Governor inspected repair works on Umule Road, Umuocham Road as well as the Tonimas area just before the Port Harcourt – Enugu Express Way Junction.
The Governor commended the contractor on the fast pace of the work.

The Governor frowned at the sight of blocked drainage channels along the entire length of Umule Road and ordered ASEPA to set up a task force that will enforce the cleaning of drainages by residents and shop owners around the area.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu restated his commitment to the infrastructural renewal of Aba and Abia State, and appealed to our people to assist the Government by keeping drainage channels in front of their houses and shops clean.

Biafra: Uwazuruike Replies Nnamdi Kanu, Calls Him Coward

0

The fratricidal war of words between leaders of the two foremost Biafra agitation groups, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, founder of Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), which was rekindled earlier in the week, has gotten messier.

Kanu had berated Uwazuruike for allegedly taking the issue of Biafra to the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) in The Hague, Netherlands; a move he said was belittling as several Igbo groups had taken Biafra’s matter to United Nations which was a far more recognized body.

The IPOB leader’s statement drew the anger of Uwazuruike who through the national director of information of MASSOB, Sunny Okoroafor took a swipe at Kanu, describing him as a man not qualified to speak about the Biafran struggle or attack Uwazuruike.

“Where was Nnamdi Kanu when Chief Ralph Uwazuruike started the struggle for Biafra? One thing is clear; Uwazuruike was the first man in this new struggle to hoist Biafra flag in the international arena. MASSOB founded by Uwazuruike to which Nnamdi Kanu was a member set out stages for the struggle and that is what the MASSOB founder is following religiously.” Continuing, Uwazurike said, “If the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu is talking about the struggle for Biafra, he should first of all come back home and not to stay outside to make noise. He should not be afraid of imprisonment, after all, Nelson Mandela was in prison in South Africa for 27 years, he did not run away or abandoned his people. Nnamdi Kanu should come down-home and fight for the freedom of his people.”

The MASSOB director of information said it was the height of irresponsibility for anybody to accuse Uwazuruike of giving bribe to allow Biafra membership of UNPO. “We are not corrupt in MASSOB and therefore will not be accused of giving bribe to anybody or group so that Biafra could be a member of UNPO. If Kanu thinks we should be at loggerheads with our neighbours because we are fighting for Biafra, he should be joking. MASSOB has come a long way with the Biafra struggle and we will not allow anybody to distract us”, Okoroafor said.

Kanu however is not allowing Uwazuruike’s taunt, speaking through his group’s publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, the IPOB leader described Uwazuruike as a jester.

“We don’t normally respond to what Chief Ralph Uwazuruike and group say because they are inconsequential. Uwazuruike I must tell you do not know what freedom fighting is all about. If not, he should have known that in freedom fighting, it’s either you are in prison or in exile or you are dead. Those are the three things that happen to a freedom fighter, either he is in prison talking about freedom, in exile still talking about freedom or they kill you”. Going further, Powerful said, “Uwazuruike should be told in clear terms that Moses ran away when the Egyptians were after his life and at the end, he led the people of Israel out of Egypt to the promised land. That our leader, Nnamdi Kanu being outside the country does not mean he is a coward, he is there preparing the coming of the new nation and the new nation is about to come and Uwazuruike is there playing to the gallery. That he is registering our Biafra in UNPO, is making jest of himself”.

South East Governors Frown At Movement Of Almajiris Into Region, Vow To Strengthen Internal Security

0

Governors of South East region under the aegis of South East Governors Forum have expressed displeasure over the movement of almajiris into the region, usually concealed in food and cement trucks, warning that they will no longer tolerate it as a measure to curtail the spread of coronavirus among Ndigbo.

The forum while appealing to community leaders to get involved and ensure that strangers are not allowed into their domains also resolved to strengthen internal security to protect farmlands in the region to boost participation in agriculture.

In a communique made available to ABN TV and signed by the Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi after the first teleconference meeting of the Forum, the governors also resolved to strengthen the existing interstate restriction of movements, expressing dismay over the compromise of the exercise whereby non essential items still move within state in the region.

They therefore tasked security agencies to take the task more seriously as a measure to ensure the coronavirus is not spread in the region.

The meeting which had in attendance some Igbo leaders also expressed gratitude to Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID program) led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Dr Godwin Emefiele (CBN Governor) for furnishing isolation centres in the States while NNPC has chosen to build isolation centres in Enugu and Imo States.

The Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID program) led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Dr Godwin Emefiele (CBN Governor) is furnishing isolation centres in the States while NNPC has chosen to build isolation centres in Enugu and Imo States. For these, we commend them all. CACOVID have also started the distribution of food items like 10kg bags of rice, tomatoes and some other food items with the plan to reach at least 10% population of every State in Nigeria. We also wish to appreciate the team for their gesture.

“The Forum reviewed the current lockdown order within our interstate borders and agreed to strengthen it further with new measures. However, we are very unhappy with incidents of interstate border lockdown abuses that led to the movement of non-essential movement of persons. We request the security personnel at our border posts to take this task very seriously to curtail the spreading of the pandemic. As we go through this period, to curtail the further spread of COVID-19, we will continue to enforce the NO MASK NO MOVEMENT, social distancing, regular hand washing and sanitary guidelines.

“The Southeast Governors are worried about the movement of almajiri youths concealed in food and cement trucks into the southeast region. While we commend northern governors on their decision that almajiris should go to their States of origin, we also advise our people against coming back to their States to forestall further spread of the pandemic. We, therefore, request our community leaders to get passionately involved to ensure that such illegal movement is not allowed. Seriously, SouthEast Governors will further strengthen our local security to protect farmlands and agriculture activities to encourage more participation in agriculture.

“We encourage our youths to key into agriculture programs in the States as this would keep them busy and sustain the livelihood of lots of our people. Our youths should take advantage of the CBN agric intervention programs which are currently available. They can make contacts with their State’s ministry of agriculture on how to get involved, as this is utmost important now.

“SouthEast Governors and leaders agreed to embark on massive testing of her people with a target of at least 5% of the population in the five States within the next two months. We are happy to announce that Imo State Government now have two testing centres while Enugu State Government will soon complete the setting up of a centre in Enugu. Anambra and Abia are working on this while Ebonyi has been fruitful since February, 2020 With these, we can vigorously pursue a wider number of test among our communities.

“Forum also discussed a regional approach to a post-COVID-19 era. This proposed strategic planning will provide support for vital areas that we will be considering. Some of the areas we hope to prioritise are education, health agriculture, SMEs among others. The program will stimulate our regional economy.

“While we continue to provide palliatives in our various States to our people. We urge our people to continue with precautionary measures as provided by NCDC and be rest assured of the governors’ determination to continue to protect lives and support.

“The forum noted the progress made so far on the rehabilitation project of Akanu Ibiam International airport. We thank Mr President for providing the enabling environment in the achievement of this project. We likewise commend the Honourable minister for aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika for his commitments. We appreciate the committee on the rehabilitation of Akanu Ibiam International airport, especially the committee chairman Engr. Chris Okoye who have worked tirelessly to see to the current achievement so far. The runway reconstruction and other newly added facilities are almost completed. We deeply appreciate the Governor of Enugu State His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for all the interventions he has always provided to enable this project to come this far. We are optimistic that Enugu airport will open when the nation’s airspace will be re-opened to regular flights.

“The Forum wishes to congratulate the newly appointed Chief of staff to Mr President, Amb. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari. We wish him the best as he resumes his new position” the communique concluded.

N13.5bn Monthly School Feeding Premeditated Fraud — Group Alleges, Seeks EFCC’s Intervention

1

A civil society group, Coalition Of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has alleged that the reported daily school feeding at the cost of N679 million is a ploy by individuals in the Presidency to milk the country dry, saying it laughable.

The group said it is unbelievable to assume that the Federal government spends a whopping N13.5 billion monthly on school children at a moment when they are at home, insisting that it is a program designed to loot the nation’s treasury.

In a release jointly signed by Hon. Goodluck Egwu Ibem, the President General and Comrade Kanice Igwe, the Secretary General of the group, it called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the claim and bring to book anyone involved in looting the nation’s resources.

“The purported spending of N679 million daily on feeding school children during the lockdown when the schools are not in session is a fraud perpetrated by some persons in the Presidency to liquidate the economy of Nigeria. It is laughable for anyone to come out in broad daylight to say that the federal government is spending N13.5 billion monthly to feed school that are at home.

“One is meant to believe that the essence of the entire lockdown is to enable some corrupt persons to loot and defraud the government of money meant for feeding school children. Even the most corrupt countries in the world will never come up to say that they are spending money on school children that are not in session.

“The recent looting spree has exposed the primary aim of the school feeding programme. The founders of the programme introduce it just to loot the treasury and now that the school are closed, the looting and fraud must go on . To them they must remain focused in their objective which is looting.

“We demand for immediate probe and prosecution of those who are looting our collective wealth in the name of feeding school children. The perpetrators of this wicked plan wants to ensure that Nigeria is brought to its knees. No sane country will allow such broad daylight robbery to stand.

“We call on the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, whose duties is to probe matters of corruption to move in immediately to arrest and prosecute all those involved in this unholy dirty dealing.

“This is not the time for selective prosecution by EFCC were only persons from the South East or Christians are prosecuted while Muslims and Fulanis are allowed to work free after committing huge fraud that can grand the economy.

“Enough of this insult on Nigerians. Nigeria is too big for a selected few to be playing with it. This huge corruption must not be swept under the carpet. The must be a thorough investigation and probe of this high level corruption. It has never happened anywhere in the world were a government will claim to spend money on feeding school that are not in session. Are they now feeding spirit school children? We need to know if ghosts and spirits are they ones they are feeding when the same FG made it very clear that everyone should stay at home and remain indoors.

“The time to unravel this great fraud is now. We are watching.” it says.

Couple Wed Completely Naked In Front Of 40 Unclad Guests, Officiator (Photos)

This news might be on the top of the list of the most shocking things you will see on the internet.

A couple was able to pull off a real naked wedding after getting about 40 family and friends and an officiator who agreed to go naked for their dream natural wedding.

Nigel Seymour, 59, and his now-wife Rachel, 30, reportedly met on a nudist holiday three years ago. They enjoyed a whirlwind romance before getting engaged after six months.

Nigel, a car restorer, proposed to Rachel in front of 400 naked strangers while on a trip.

The holiday was organized by British Naturism – a society for people who prefer living naked.

Rachel, a care assistant, and her husband Nigel decided they would be married while naked, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Rachel said: “Our naked wedding made perfect sense, as it meant I didn’t have to spend £1,000 on a wedding dress.

“Getting married in the buff with your friends and family is still just as magical an experience. It felt really freeing.

“We met in the buff, Nigel proposed in the buff and we had a ceremony naked. It closed the chapter.”

Rachel joked that all guests had to bring to her “fun” naked wedding was a towel and sun cream.

Nigel added: “The reaction we’ve had from friends and family who did not attend the blessing was very much, ‘That’s not for us but you carry on and let us know how you get on’.

“But we loved every minute of it.”

The couple had asked around to find an officiator who would conduct the ceremony naked.

The person they found was not a naturist but agreed to go nude for the occasion.

After their wedding, the couple set off for a naked honeymoon in the world’s largest naturist village in France.

Being naked feels normal to Rachel, who grew up with a naturist father named Harvey Allen.

Harvey Allen, 74, was the photographer at his daughter’s wedding.

Whereas, Nigel only entered the lifestyle nine years ago at the age of 50.

He said: “What I liked was that you had no idea what people did in their day-to-day lives – whether they were a judge, a doctor, or a police officer.

“Being naked just levels everyone out.”

Nigel says it doesn’t matter what race, size or career you have in the nude as “nobody judges you”.

However, for their legal ceremony, the couple decided to wear clothes, Daily Star reports.
