The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi has revealed that God almighty approved his removal from the throne by Kano state government.

He stated this on Friday in Awe while leading Friday Muslim prayers at the place of the emir of awe with the Kaduna state governor Nasir El’Rufai in attendance.

Sanusi during the prayers urged Muslim faitgful to always obey God and accept his judgement in whatever happens, adding that whatever happen to anyone of them is destined by God to happen if not there is no way it would happen.

He explained that there is no way anything that God has not destined would come to pass.

He underscored the need for Nigerians to also continue to pray for peace and progress of the country.

The dethroned Emir also urged Muslims to fear God in all their activities, reminding them that every one of them must give account of his or her deeds hereafter.

The Kaduna state governor Nasir El-Rufai who was in Awe to visit the dethrone Emir arrived the Emir’s residence at about 12:45pm and was received by the dethroned emir where they quickly went into a close door meeting , after which they drove straight to Friday mosque.

Our correspondent gathered that it was the first time Sanusi was allowed to make his first public speech after he was dethroned by the Kano State Government and banished to Nasarawa State.

Those that attended the prayer includes; Governor Nasiru El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Emir of Awe and his Shabu counterpart Mohammed Bwala.

There was heavy security presence during the prayer as armed policemen and other security personnel were deployed to safeguard the environment

The man alleged to have attacked President Muhammadu Buhari at the Argungu Fishing Festival on Thursday has denied doing so.

Mohammed Gunddare said that he merely wanted to shake the President whose “outstanding virtues” he claims to adore.

“I was emotionally attached to his outstanding virtues of honesty and craved to shake him,” Gunddare, told reporters in Birnin Kebbi.

A newspaper had reported that he was shot in the leg after ‘attacking’ the president and thereafter whisked away by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) and tortured.

But Gunddare, who was flanked my Information Minister Lai Mohammed and Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State said: “I am alive and the DSS never tortured me; nobody ever tortured me, I was well cared for and given food.”

Also speaking, Mohammed said: “All the stories about him trying to attack Mr. President are false. Even the story that he has been shot by the Police or DSS is false.”

The Presidency had earlier dismissed the video of the ‘attack’ as “a work of mischief makers.”

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said in a statement that Gunddare was “indeed an enthusiastic youth, who was too excited to hold himself back, seeing his President in the flesh.”

He said: “President Muhammadu Buhari was in Kebbi State Thursday to declare open the Argungu Fishing and Cultural Festival.

“It was the first time the international tourism event would hold in eleven years, as security considerations had rendered it impracticable.

“As the President went round the arena to inspect rice pyramids on display, and take photographs with farmers, a young man was so very excited to see his President so close. He made an attempt to get to him.

“World over, such would not be allowed by security details. The young man was prevented, and he protested that he should be allowed to greet his President.

“Now, professional contortionists are making mischief of the event. They are passing the video clip off on social media as an attempt to attack the President.”

Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has moved the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II out of Awe local government area of the Nasarawa where he was banished on Monday by Kano State Government.

It is not clear whether they are heading to Kaduna or Abuja.

But the Emir left with the Governor who earlier visited him.

El-Rufai and the dethroned Emir left Awe at about 4:27 pm after observing the Friday congregational prayers.

Sanusi led the Friday juma’at prayer at the Awe central mosque where he admonished faithfuls to take whatever situation they found themselves as destiny.

Deposed Kano Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II is set to leave Awe town in Nasarawa State where he was banished on Monday by Kano State Government.

Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday ordered his release from confinement.

Sanusi, who led the 2pm Jumat prayer at the palace of Emir of Awe, is leaving with Kaduna Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

El-Rufai arrived the town to visit the deposed Emir, a long-time friend, around 12:30noon.

They are set to be heading to Abuja.

Sanusi’s luggage are currently being offloaded from the house to cars within the his exile home in Awe.

The official vehicle of Nasir el-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna state, is parked within the compound, ready to depart for Lafia.

Sanusi, who was deposed by Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano state on Monday, was banished to Loko town, Nasarawa state.

On Tuesday, he was airlifted from Loko to Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital, from where he was driven to Awe local government area.
