….Commissions 8 Units modern Market built by the Deputy Chairman of Bende.

The new modern Eight Units Open Stalls built at the Afia Abonta market Amaokwelu-Alayi, Bende LGA by the Deputy Chairman, Bende Local Government Area, Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro has been officially commissioned and handed over to the Amaokwelu women in Bende LGA for use.

Speaking while Commissioning the project, the immediate past Member, represented Bende Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Dr. Nnenna Elendu-Ukeje, (Ada ukwu Bende) congratulated Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro on the timely delivery of the project for the benefit of the community and described him as true a servant-leader.

Dr. Elendu-Ukeje also said that the people of Alayi and Bende in general are proud of Mr Promise Uzoma and described him as one who has mastered the tenets of politics including loyalty and respect to constituted authority as well as extending democracy dividends to the populace.

She called for all hands to be on deck in an effort to transform Alayi Community to a befitting city and
urged the women to make good use of the market as greater things are on the way to the community.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Basic Education Chief Ukwu Rocks Emma who appreciated the Deputy chairman for the gesture called others in position of trust to emulate the gesture and always prioritize the welfare of their people.

In his speech also, the Chairman Bende LGA the Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa represented by the leader of Bende legislative council Mr Iheanacho Udensi commended his deputy for being a good representative of his people and for being supportive to the development of Bende LGA and promised to install 2 units solar powered lights to lighten up the market.

Earlier in his speech, the facilitator and Deputy Chairman, Bende Local Government Area, Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro said that he was moved to construct the market stalls following appeal made by the leadership of the Amaokwe-Elu women for expansion of the market and used the forum to thank leaders of Bende LGA for providing him a platform to serve his people.

Speaking at the event, a Stakeholder in Alayi Ward Chief Lekwauwa Udensi, Special Adviser to the Governor Chief Titus O. O Okoronkwo , the President General Of Amaokwelu Community Pastor Agu Nwachukwu, the president General Amaokwe-Elu Alayi women Association Mrs Cecilia Nwokocha, the Councilor representing Alayi Ward B Hon. Nnenna Chukwu thanked leaders and stakeholders of Bende LGA for providing their son Mr Promise Uzoma Okoro the platform to serve them and assured the PDP more of their supports.
