“The Belarusian side will come up with an adequate response to all unfriendly steps,” he said.

“Just like under the previous cases, the authorities of Belarus will resort to effective measures to diminish as much as possible the impact of these acts of economic aggression on the life of the Belarusian people,” Glaz added.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry sees in the EU’s unilateral coercive measures an element of hybrid aggression, the purpose of which is to deprive Belarusians of their sovereignty, Belarusian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Anatoly Glaz said on Monday.

“It is clear that the main goal of the EU hybrid aggression is to strangle the Belarusians, subdue their will and deprive them of their sovereignty, replacing it with images and wrappers. بوكر اون لاين It was utopian from the beginning, and now it is even more comical. The sooner those European officials, still capable of critical thinking, come to realize it, the less trouble they will make,” the Foreign Ministry’s representative said.

Minsk believes that “many issues could certainly be discussed and resolved within the framework of an equal constructive dialogue”. “The European Union already knows our conditions and expectations,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman noted.

I’m Still In APC, Says Shina Peller

A member of the House of Representatives from Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Oyo State, Shina Peller, has described reports by some online media that he had defected from the All Progressives Congress to another political party as mere “rumours”.

The lawmaker said this in a statement issued on Sunday by his media aide, Kola Popoola.

Peller, who lost the Oyo North Senatorial ticket of the APC to Senator Fatai Buhari, said until he personally announce his exit from the APC via his verified social media platforms, any report of defection remains mere speculations, and should be regarded.

His visit to a chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan, last week had triggered speculations that he had dumped the APC but refuted the claims.

He said, “My attention has been drawn to an unfounded report going viral that I have defected from the All Progressives Congress to New Nigeria People’s Party. Also, while some speculate that I am now a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, some conclude I am now in Accord Party. This is nothing but a rumour and should be regarded as one by all as I still remain a member of the APC until I announce otherwise via my verified social media handles.

“That I honoured Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan’s invitation to his house doesn’t mean I have defected to NNPP. Alhaji Olopoeyan is a family friend, and the fact that we belong to different political parties doesn’t mean I should start playing politics of bitterness with him. I am not that kind of a person and won’t turn to one for political reasons.

“It would be recalled that about a week ago, one of the chieftains of our party in Oyo State, had also alleged that I am being secretly positioned by the Peoples Democratic Party to be a running mate to Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde in the 2023 Oyo State gubernatorial race. This is also not true, and the recent announcement of Bayo Lawal as a running mate to Governor Makinde has further rendered the allegation baseless.

“That I commended Governor Makinde on a project that is beneficial to my constituents shouldn’t make one conclude that I am now a PDP member. Also, Engr. Seyi Makinde is not a governor to PDP members only, but a governor to everyone in Oyo State including myself. I haven’t defected from APC to any political party, and even if I am going to do so, that would be for the people of Oke Ogun in Oyo State to decide.”

Owo Church Attack: Don’t Take Laws Into Your Hands – Akeredolu, Olowo Beg Youths

Governor ROwo Church Attack: Don’t Take Laws Into Your Hands – Akeredolu, Olowo Beg Youthsotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state and the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye have appealed to youths in Owo, Ondo state not to retaliate against the killing of worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church in the town.

Speaking during his visit to the church and hospitals where survivors of the attack are receiving medical attention, Akeredolu, described the terror attack on innocent worshipers at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo, as a massacre and horrific.

Akeredolu, who said he was terribly sad, noted that the attack was the most dastardly act that could happen in any society.

“What has happened here today is tragic. No better way to qualify it. It is the most tragic event! Horrific! What we have seen in America is a child’s play to what has happened here.

“That it happened in a church, to say the least, is most condemnable. I feel terribly sad, and I can understand our people are in a sad mood. Nobody will see or hear what happened here that will feel safe.

“But let me tell you, we have a duty to protect you. Our security agencies lost about two men. It was not an expected attack. It was sudden. How they entered and escaped is still surprising. What has happened met us unexpectedly?

“On this matter, don’t retaliate. We know what to do and you will hear it. The perpetrators will never escape. We are after them. And I can assure you we will get them. I am not boasting.

“I want to express my condolences to those who have lost their dear ones to this unnecessary gruesome murder.

“This is a great massacre. Our people in Ondo state we will not let down their guard. This will not happen again.

“We have all heads of security agencies here. They are listening to me, and I am urging them to take all necessary steps.

“This must not happen again. We must be very vigilant. I want to particularly send a word of condolence to the Bishop.

“What they damaged here is much. dynamite was used. We can see pools of blood everywhere.

“I have come to appeal to you to maintain your calm and let the security agencies take charge. They are taking this seriously. Please, don’t take laws into your hands.”

At the palace of the Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye, Akeredolu condoled with the monarch over the sad incident.

Akeredolu said the gunmen made the mistake of attacking Owo, vowing that they will not escape justice.

“What happened shocked me. It shocked everyone. It was like a deliberate target on Owo.

“But they made a mistake because we are bold. We don’t run away from battles. We will fight them. No matter what it takes.

“Please, appeal to our people not to take laws into their hands.

“The government will not sit back without ensuring that those who did this pay for it,” the Governor said.

The Olowo commended Governor Akeredolu for showing leadership, adding that it takes genuine leadership for the Governor to have flown into the state from Abuja barely three hours after the incident happened.

“I called you less than three hours ago from Abuja and you are here already.

“That’s leadership. It’s quite unfortunate that this kind of incident would happen in Owo. There must be a motive behind this. It behooves our security agencies to investigate this deep down so that those behind it will face the full wrath of the law.

“No one brings battle into Owo. We shall give it what it takes. I believe the federal government should be much more concerned.

“Those behind this want to cause discord in the country. The whole nation is challenged. On our part, whatever is expected of us, we will do. I have spoken to our youths to remain calm,” the Olowo said.

At the hospitals, Akeredolu commended the doctors and health workers for the prompt attention given to the survivors of the terror attack.

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has reacted to the team’s defeat to Ecuador and second consecutive friendly game loss.

The Eagles lost to the South Americans 1-0 in New Jersey days after going down 2-1 to Mexico in Dallas, Texas, in coach Jose Peseiro’s first game in charge of the national team.

Iwobi, who had a very impressive second half of the 2021/22 Premier League season for Everton, played for 90 minutes in both games.

The 26-year-old had missed the 2022 World Cup playoff against the Black Stars of Ghana due to suspension after he was sent off in Nigeria’s Round of 16 clashes at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Tunisia in Cameroon.

His commendable run for the Toffees in the last 12 league matches of last season saw him return to the national team set-up in January.

In a post on Twitter, the former Arsenal winger noted that there is still a long way to go in Peseiro’s team-building process. He, however, urged that faith must be shown in the process.

He wrote: “Trust the process… We are on route but still a long way to go!”

He later tweeted again on Monday morning as the Super Eagles intensify preparation to start the AFCON 2023 qualifying campaign.

“God… Please Guide & Protect Us.” his latest Tweet reads.

Iwobi has been included in the list of 27 players by the Portuguese tactician for the upcoming 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe.

Osimhen, Sadiq, Lookman Lead 24 Eagles In Training Ahead AFCON Qualifier Vs Sierra Leone

The Super Eagles’ preparations for Thursday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone got a boost on Sunday as Victor Osimhen, Sadiq Umar, and Ademola Lookman trained with the rest of the team in Abuja.

Nigeria’s Friendly matches against Mexico and against Ecuador in the United States kick-started the preparations as the country’s race to make her 20th appearance at the continental football showpiece held in Ivory Coast next year gets underway.

Only three of the 27 invited players; Calvin Bassey, Joseph Ayodele-Aribo, both of whom featured in the friendly games in the US, and Abdullahi Shehu, who returned to the country last week from his base in Cyprus, were not part of Sunday’s training.

Technical Adviser José Santos Peseiro took charge of the training and captain Ahmed Musa led the playing body that included goalkeepers; Francis Uzoho, Adewale Adeyinka, and Adebayo Adeleye, and defenders Olaoluwa Aina, William Ekong, Zaidu Sanusi, Chidozie Awaziem, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Leon Balogun, Sani Faisal, and Kenneth Omeruo were also in the training session.

There were also midfielders; Alex Iwobi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Innocent Bonke, and Frank Onyeka, and forwards Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Victor Osimhen, Cyriel Dessers, Ademola Lookman, Sadiq Umar, Terem Moffi and Emmanuel Dennis in action.

Peseiro also used the opportunity to meet and familiarize himself with players who were unable to make it to the United States for the friendlies. They are skipper Musa, Sanusi Balogun, Etebo, Chukwueze, Umar and Lookman, Onyeka, Osimhen, and Adeleye all of whom were not invited to the friendlies in America but have been called for the AFCON qualifiers.

The Eagles will face the Leone Stars at the Moshood Abiola national stadium on Thursday in their first Group A game of the qualifiers, before flying to Marrakech, Morocco, on Saturday, for the clash against São Tomé and Príncipe that will take place on June 13.

Newcastle United Planning Massive New Offer For Osimhen

Newcastle United is preparing a huge offer to sign Napoli’s Nigerian striker Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window.

This is according to the Italian media outfit Calciomercato.com.

North London giant Arsenal had been touted as a possible destination for Osimhen as the Gunners are desperate to strengthen their attacking third. مراهنات سباق الخيل

However, Napoli’s £85million asking price for Osimhen has discouraged Arsenal’s hopes of landing the striker.

That could open the door for Newcastle who has been keeping tabs on the former Lille star for some time, with the report suggesting that the 23-year-old’s preference would be to play in the Premier League. راهن على كرة القدم

And Newcastle is said to be planning to make a ‘monster offer’ in the very near future.

It is claimed that Napoli would not drop below their £85m asking price, which may test Newcastle’s new owners.

Osimhen has a memorable second campaign at Napoli despite injuries and COVID-19 setbacks.

He scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 32 games in all competitions for Luciano Spalletti’s men last season.

Meanwhile, he is currently in Abuja with the Super Eagles ahead of Thursday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone. افضل مواقع المراهنات

“Peseiro Now Under Pressure To Win First Match As Eagles Coach – Vs Sierra Leone” – Udeze

0
Jose Peseiro

Ex-Nigeria international, Ifeanyi Udeze, has suggested that Super Eagles technical adviser Jose Peseiro is under pressure to lead the team to victory in the first 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sierra Leone on Thursday.

Peseiro has lost the two matches he has been in charge of since his appointment in May. The Eagles lost to 2-1 Mexico in an international friendly in Texas, United States of America, last week, and another 1-0 defeat in the hands of Ecuador a few days later in New Jersey.

Four home-based players got the chance to make their debut for the Eagles in the friendlies. However, Peseiro did not include any of them in his 27-man squad invited for the clashes against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe.

Speaking with Complete Sports on Sunday, as the attention now shifts towards Nigeria’s game against the Leone Stars at the Moshood Abiola national stadium in Abuja on June 9, the former left-back states that the Portuguese are now desperate for his first win as the head coach of the national team.

The ex-West Bromwich Albion defender notes that the 62-year-old tactician wants to make do with the foreign players to get the desired outcome, adding that it does not mean he lacks confidence in the home-based players.

“I think, for now, he just wants to do with foreign-based players for now, and see, it does not mean he does not have confidence in the home-based players, but I think, for now, he is under pressure, he put himself under pressure because he wants to get his first win, which will be very, very important to him,” Udeze started.

“The home-based players should just calm down, I think they will have their own opportunity also to play some games.”

Nigeria has not got the better of the Leone Stars in the last two competitive meetings. The qualifiers for the 2021 AFCON between the two countries ended 4-4 in Benin City and goalless in the reverse fixture in Freetown.

Udeze, however, expects the team to show character and hunger, particularly coming on the heels of the defeats in the friendly matches.

“I want to see character, I want to see a different approach, I want to see a situation whereby they have a different mentality; mentality to win games. That is what I’m looking forward to,” he explained.
