Finally, Father Mbaka Apologises, Blesses Peter Obi
Rev Father Ejike Mbaka

The founder of the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, Amen, Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has resumed operation at the ministry, months after it was suspended.

The ministry was suspended indefinitely on June 18, 2022, by the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev Dr. Callistus Onaga.

Giving reason the ministry was suspended; Bishop Onaga argued that Mbaka had continuously violated all the tenets of Catholicism.

His letter read: “In the light of the happenings in the Catholic Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy Enugu: capable of undermining the Catholic faith and teachings; and after several fraternal corrections and admonitions to Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka, the Chaplain of the Ministry.

“And after having given him pastoral directives and guidelines for the Ministry Chaplaincy, which he persistently violated; and in fulfilment of my pastoral duties as the Chief Shepherd with the obligation to promote and safeguard the Catholic faith and morals in Enugu Diocese, I hereby prohibit all Catholics (clergy, religious and lay faithful) henceforth from attending all religious and liturgical activities of the Adoration Ministry until the due canonical process initiated by the Diocese is concluded.

“My decision is based on the fact that some of the teachings and utterances of Fr Camillus Ejike Mbaka at the Catholic Adoration Ministry are not consistent with the teachings and faith of the Catholic Church.

“I enjoin all the Christian Faithful to keep praying for Fr. Mbaka and the Catholic Diocese of Enugu as I entrust him and the Diocese to the maternal care and protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the Apostles.”

However, announcing the re-opening of the ministry on Thursday, Mbaka through the ministry’s facebook handle ‘Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria – AMEN’, asked his followers/adorers to converge at the Adoration ground Umuchigbo Iji Nike Emene Enugu State on Sunday, 2nd October, 2022.

He stated that the ministry will start with 10am Mass.

North Regrets Voting President Buhari In 2015 – Northern Coalition

Why Buhari Didn’t Remove Fuel Subsidy – Garba Shehu
President Muhammadu Buhari

The Coalition of Northern Groups has said the region is worse off today than it was in 2015, adding that the people of the region made a mistake in 2015.

The coalition averred that the people it trusted with power had isolated the region politically, economically, and socially.

The spokesperson for the group, Abdul-Azeez Sulieman said this at the sensitization and awareness conference organized by CNG on Wednesday in Kaduna.

He bemoaned how the once potent and progressive region is begging for a place in the nation’s future political arrangement.

Sulieman said, “The North has been abandoned to a critical security situation with its widowed women, children orphaned, youths maimed and killed and people displaced in thousands. Politicians and leaders we have elected have prospered, but the bulk of us are left jobless, homeless, helpless, and hopeless.

“The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. And while these elites celebrate with their families in world capitals, there has been nothing to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

“Indeed, the north made a mistake in 2015 so that the deliberate commission or omission of the people we trusted with power has inadvertently isolated the region politically, economically, and socially as a result of which, the once portent and progressive region is today begging not only for food but for a place in the nation’s future political arrangement.”

He assured that the 2023 election will be special because the only thing that will truly matter to citizens is not which party or which candidate controls the government in the future, but whether the government is controlled by the people.

He added, “If the price of voting along religious, ethnic and sectional sentiments is to become the most wretched, the most distressed, derided and most deprived, the north must therefore sincerely begin to ask itself if that price is worth paying,” he stressed.

The National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi lamented that instead of addressing the challenges as they emerge, successive leaderships found it expedient to use them for either political gains, or to serve their selfish interest of polarizing the region along ethnoreligious, and socio-cultural divides.

He urged the electorate to map out their needs and refuse to be deceived by just any politician coming with the usual campaign promises that would never be fulfilled saying, “The northern voter must look out for credible candidates with proven pedigrees, honesty, sense of nationalism and sound understanding of the current challenges facing the region.”

The General Overseer of the Christ Evangelical and Life Fellowship Ministry, Pastor Yohanna Buru urged citizens to shun politics of sentiment in order to bring about peace and unity in diversity.

South East Group Condemns Killing Of Soldiers In Anambra By Gunmen

Sit-At-Home: Ohanaeze Backs Gov. Peter Mbah

The Igbo People of Nigeria (IPN) has condemned the ambush and subsequent murder of soldiers on a routine patrol at Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

A statement by Anayo Mbakwe on Wednesday night described the incident as a national tragedy, barbaric and unacceptable.

Mbakwe said the people of the southeast are known to be loving, welcoming and hospitable.

He, however, said the latest turn of events, particularly in Anambra is a serious cause for concern.

The Igbo group recalled the recent assassination attempt on the Senator representing Anambra South, Ifeanyi Ubah at Nkwo Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area.

And Mbakwe believes these two unfortunate incidents have striking similarities and are distasteful to humanity in general and in Igbo land in particular.

He said killing of any sort, whether political, agitation or accidental is an act of terrorism and must not be condoned.

He, therefore, called on security agencies to fish out the perpetrators and make them pay for their crimes.

Mbakwe also urged the security agents to tame the alarming rise in assassinations in Anambra, especially with the 2023 elections on the horizon.

While commending the Nigerian Army under Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya for some notable strides in the region and across the nation, the Igbo People of Nigeria said the Chief of Army Staff should give more attention to Anambra.

He said troops must not relent on recent successes, noting that these pockets of criminal elements are already capitalising to wreak havoc.

Mbakwe, therefore, charged the Army not to relent in its responsibility of restoring law and order with other security agencies as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Commander-in-Chief.

He admitted, though, that the Igbos are proud of the efforts of the Nigerian Army in the zone.

The Igbo group, however, called on Ndigbo not to fold their hands and watch this ugly trend escalate.

He added that criminals in communities, whether indigenes or foreigners, should be reported to relevant authorities.

Mbakwe advised that “anyone who sympathises with criminals will soon sympathise”.

2023 Election: Peace Accord Signifies War In Nigeria – Sowore

I’m Available—Sowore Responds As Nigeria Police 'Pursue His Arrest’

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has said that the idea of signing peace pact ahead of the 2023 presidential election signifies that the country is at war.

Sowore said he was not against the peace accord noting that he would sign it to show the people that he subscribed to peace.

The AAC standard bearer said this in an interview on Arise TV ‘Morning Show’, aired on Thursday.

ABN TV reports that a former Head of State and Chairman, National Peace Committee, Abdulsalami Abubakar, had stated that politicians contesting the 2023 general election had to sign a peace pact.

Abdulsalami made this known on last Thursday, September 22, in Minna, Niger State, after a meeting with the committee members. He stated that during electioneering campaigns, politicians and their supporters created incitements which could endanger the country’s peace.

He said, “The pattern of public communication among political actors, their publicity agents, spokespersons, and media consultants has amplified the potential for personal attacks, insults, and incitement.”

Adding that the attacks by politicians and their supporters on their opponents, “has relegated to the background, the civility and decency in public discourse and debate. It has shifted focus away from issue-based campaigns, to consolidating identity politics and the politics of thuggery.”

The signing of peace commences Thursday, September 29 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

Reacting to the peace pact, Sowore said, “I don’t know why we’re signing this peace accord when we are not at war. This signifies that Nigeria is at war. Elections are a war in this country,” he said.

“For the sake of symbolism of this, I will show up there, and sign whatever they want so that the people can understand that I subscribe to peace during the election and after the election,” he added.

My Government Will Reflect The Peculiar Agitations Nigerians – Atiku

2023 Election: Atiku Abubakar Predicts APC’s Downfall
Atiku Abubakar

The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has said that his administration would reinvent the principle of national unity that will reflect the peculiar agitations of Nigerians, if elected in the 2023 general elections.

Atiku also stated that he has set out five thematic areas that would be the building blocks of a new social contract with Nigerians.

The former vice-president made the declaration in a Twitter and Facebook post after the inauguration of his campaign council and book launch on Wednesday night.

He stated that his government would restore Nigeria’s unity through equity, and social justice to ensure cooperation and consensus among Nigeria’s heterogeneous people.

He further emphasised that he would build a strong competitive and prosperous economy, create jobs and wealth and lift the poor out of poverty.

Atiku added that he would also improve and strengthen the education system to equip its recipients with the education and skills required to be competitive in the new global order driven by innovation in science and technology.

He said, “To this end, the first direction that our administration will take is to reinvent the principle of government of national unity which will make our administration reflect the peculiar agitations of our people. We shall restore Nigeria’s unity through equity and social justice as well as ensure cooperation and consensus among peoples effective heterogeneous peoples.

‘’We shall establish a strong, effective, democratic government that guarantees the safety and security of lives and property. We shall build a strong competitive and prosperous economy, create jobs and wealth and lift the poor out of poverty. We shall promote a federal system that will provide for a strong federal government to guarantee national unity while allowing the federating units to set their priorities.

‘’We shall improve and strengthen the education system to equip its recipients with the education and skills required to be competitive in the new global order which is driven by innovation in science and technology and to lead a healthy productive meaningful life.”

He pointed out that Nigeria had dipped below all low standards in socio-economic, and political benchmarks, saying the experience of the past seven years plus under the government of the APC had made Nigerians doubtful of its strength as a people.

He said, “In fact, it is safe to say that the greatest thing that the APC government will be remembered for is how it failed to maintain the integrity of our unity and how it has put a knife between the things that hitherto held us together

“Nigeria is a great nation, full of resources but broken by the malfeasance, despair, maladministration, divisive tendencies, pervasive insecurity, economic mismanagement, unprecedented corruption and rudderless leadership visited on her since 2015. We have therefore again picked up the gauntlet to lead Nigeria into a new horizon where every tendency shall find accommodation.”

The former vice-president said there was over-concentration of power in government, with multiple duplications of public agencies leading to the creation of parallel democracies.

He added that the federating units would benefit from the devolution of powers to increase their productive capacity for synergy and collaboration with each other and the corporate world, and also to create sustainability and employment for Nigerians.

In what appeared to be one of his golden moments, the Presiding Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, MFM Channel 8 North Central Region 87 Kubwa Abuja, Pastor Uzor B. Enemanna on Sunday marked his golden jubilee birthday, joining the league of those who have climbed the 5th ladder.

It was a massive gathering of friends, family and associates from across the country and beyond who had come to celebrate a man who they described as an anointed servant of God, embodiment of humility and a quintessential humanitarian.

The 50th birthday which was on September 19 was marked with a prayer, thanksgiving and supplications at MFM Channel 8 North Central Region 87 Kubwa Abuja.

Sunday, September 25 was a day for merry, fun and jubilation to celebrate the age of milestone with the mother of all birthday parties which took place at the prestigious Pattaya Event Centre in the Kubwa area of Abuja.

The event arena was filled with who is who in the intelligence sector where Pastor Uzor spent some years before heeding to God’s call to serve in his vineyard.

Also present at the talk-of-the-town birthday celebration include top religious leaders, renowned entrepreneurs, academics and businessmen.

The atmosphere was electrified with excitement as the celebrant, accompanied by a long queue of well wishers made his way into the beautifully decorated hall with a standing ovation from the cheering guests.

In his welcome address, the chairman of the occasion, Elder Sunday Uye while expressing gratitude to God for the life of the celebrant described him as true servant of God who has through dedication, commitment and zeal remained outstanding even as he remains a vessel leading men to God.

He said he has known the celebrant for several years as a gentleman of indisputable integrity, loyalty, honour and result-oriented. He wished Pastor Uzor many more years of fruitfulness, uncommon favour and dreams come through.

In his goodwill message, the Senior Regional Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, International Headquarters Annex, Wuye Abuja, Pastor Edwin Etomi extolled Pastor Uzor for his resilience, doggedness and ability to provide solutions to seemingly difficult situations.

The goodwill messages were in total agreement to the fact that the humble and committed God’s servant, counselor, teacher and preacher is a man of peace who had impacted several lives not only in the spiritual affairs but in things of the physical, particularly through empowerment.

It was a festival of dance as the celebrant thrilled his guests with his dance steps.

Presentation of a brief biography of the celebrant and drama presentation from pantomime group were highlights of the event.

Pastor Uzor while thanking all those who came from far and wide to celebrate him on his golden jubilee birthday prayed for God’s endless blessings, loads of testimony and uncommon favour upon them.

He expressed gratitude to God for a good life, destiny fulfillment, miracles of healing and restoration, ministerial breakthrough and God’s faithfulness all round to him and his entire family.

The revered man of God also used the opportunity to call on individuals to learn to appreciate God’s presence in their lives and celebrate themselves time to time while alive, saying such is a recipe of longitivity and good living.

There was enough to go round to minister to the stomach needs and quench the thirst of numerous guests in attendance.

Brief Profile of Pastor Uzor Enemanna

Uzor Boniface Enemanna, a minister, pastor, counselor, teacher and prophet was born into the family of Mazi Sunday Amaechi in Ebeyi Nvosi community, Isialangwa South local government area of Abia State on the 19th of September 1972.

He started his primary education at Ebeyi Nvosi Community school in the year 1977 after which he gained admission for his secondary education at Nvosi High School Umunkpeyi.

As a promising child, full of brilliance, determination and focus, he saw no limit to how far he could go in life and this accounts to why he gave his all to come out in flying colours at his secondary education, in readiness for a further academic pursuit in the tertiary institution.

He had fun memory of University of Lagos, UNILAG a citadel of learning from where his uncle, Hyacinth Enemanna graduated from. He had always dreamt of being a product of an A-class university.

This same vision led him to take a trip to Lagos to prepare for his Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Examination, his very first attempt to have his UNILAG dream actualised.

This could not be immediately achieved as a result of an ASUU strike at that moment, a problem which is still right here with us over 3 decades later.

It was on this premise therefore that the young Uzor relocated to Abuja in search of a job, hoping that sooner, the school doors will re-open to admit fresh students.

While the strike lingered, in 1995 he was enlisted as a detective in the State Security Service, DSS now known as Department of State Service, DSS and posted to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State where he served.

In 1996, he secured admission as a part time student in University of Uyo to study Political Science and Public Administration.

However as a result of unfavourable and harsh policy introduced by the Akwa Ibom command of the service at that moment, he knew fate had something else in stock for him.

In 1999 he tendered his resignation and relocated back to Abuja in 2000.

With a new vision, vigour and determination, he committed his all to God in whom he anchored his fate and stay. In 2001, he was employed as a guard supervisor in Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministry Utako Abuja.

Through the grace of God and assistance of his adopted mentors, Pastor Lawrence Olaseinde and Pastor Mrs. Kasali of blessed memory, he grew in faith and in ranks, rising to become an anointed minister in God’s vineyard.

Ever since his calling blossomed and took its full glorious swing, he has never looked back. Pastor Uzor as many would call him has humbly and committedly served under the tutelage of several senior pastors and Regional Overseers.

Among them are Pastors Wole Dahunsi, Adeolu Muyiwa, Olumide Oni, Edwin Etomi, Philip Olanrewaju, Pst Oladimeji and several others.

In the course of his ministerial calling, he has served in various branches, including MFM international headquarters Annex Utako as a minister, North Central Region 5, Kubwa as deliverance pastor, Assembly Pastor, Zonal pastor (Special duties) and Overseer in charge of Foreign mission/Special duties.

In MFM Zuba, the anointed servant of God whom we have gathered here today to celebrate was the branch pastor before his current branch, MFM Channel 8 North Central Region 87 Kubwa where he is serving as the presiding Overseer.

Through his humble disposition, humanness, kindness and ability to see the challenges of others as his, he has so much endeared himself to his flocks as a shepherd everywhere he serves.

He accepts NO for an answer, as he sees opportunities where others see limitations and strength to surge on where others see obstacles. As a mentor and counselor, an encounter with Pastor Uzor must have a visible impact in your life.

He has overwhelmingly enjoyed the support, good will and love of the people he serves in various ways and this he has remained grateful for. Most importantly, God’s anointed hand has ceaselessly guided his footsteps in the ministry.

He is a proud holder of diploma in Political Science and Public Administration and B.Sc in Economics from the University of Abuja and currently pursuing his Masters Degree.

He has attended several local and international trainings since his foray in the Christian ministry.

His is blessed with a lovely wife, Pastor Mrs. Ify Uzor and children, including Royal Uzor.
