The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has congratulated renowned media entrepreneur and Director of ABN TV & Radio, Chief Ifeanyi Okali, on his conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy title of “Okwuru Oha” by the Paramount Ruler of Ebem Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, His Royal Highness Ezie Ukoha Kalu Ukoha (JP).
In a press statement signed by its President General, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, the apex socio-political youth body described the honour as well-deserved, noting that it reflects Chief Okali’s unwavering commitment to media excellence, community development, and the promotion of truth, justice, and equity across the South East and beyond.
COSEYL highlighted Okali’s leadership at ABN TV & Radio, stating that his contributions have helped strengthen democratic values, amplify the voices of the people, and promote socio-political awareness.
“The title ‘Okwuru Oha,’ meaning ‘one who speaks for the people,’ aptly reflects Chief Okali’s consistent role as a voice for the voiceless and a champion of the collective interests of society,” the statement read.
The group further commended the Paramount Ruler, HRH Ezie Ukoha Kalu Ukoha (JP), and the people of Ebem Ohafia for recognising merit, integrity, and service, adding that such honours serve as motivation for young leaders to remain committed to societal development.
COSEYL expressed confidence that Chief Okali will continue to uphold the dignity of the title and expand his contributions toward the growth, unity, and progress of the region.
The organisation also wished him continued success in his professional and traditional responsibilities.
Chief Ifeanyi Okali, a respected investigative journalist and community advocate, has continued to receive commendations from stakeholders across the country following his recognition, with many describing the honour as a true reflection of his impact in media and public service.
