The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the abduction of 25 students from Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
In the attack, bandits reportedly killed the school’s Vice Principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku.
In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, described the incident as another tragic reminder of Nigeria’s deepening insecurity.
Ememobong extended condolences to the parents of the abducted students, the family of the slain vice principal, as well as the staff, students, and management of the school, and the Kebbi State Government.
He urged the government to take full responsibility and tackle the worsening security situation decisively.
The PDP spokesman further noted that similar abductions had recently occurred in Nasarawa, Plateau, Kano, and Katsina States, calling for urgent and comprehensive action to protect citizens.
Ememobong emphasized that Nigeria should not wait for external pressure before acting, declaring: “Let the killings stop!”
