The Federal High Court, Abuja, has brought forward the date for the ruling on the no-case submission filed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in his ongoing trial with the Federal Government.
The ruling, which was initially fixed for October 10, will now be delivered on Friday, September 26, 2025.
One of Kanu’s legal representatives, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, disclosed the development in a post on his X handle on Monday, writing: “The scheduled ruling on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s no-case submission has been abridged from 10th October 2025 to Friday, 26th September 2025.”

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is standing trial on terrorism-related charges linked to his campaign for the actualization of Biafra.
A notification sighted by ABN TV from the court confirmed the new date, adding that any party seeking to postpone the hearing must file an application with the court promptly. It further stated that such applications must be supported with verifiable proof if they are based on factual matters.
The decision to abridge the ruling date is seen as a significant step in the case, which has continued to attract both national and international attention.
