The Umu Utughu Matrilineal Family and Umuola sub-unit of Ekeuke family in Ebem Ohafia, Abia State, have announced the burial arrangements of their matriarch, Late Ezinne Nnennaya Olanma Uduma Ukoha (née Ola Kalu Ike), who passed on at the age of 95.
According to the family, the burial ceremony of the late Ezinne, a revered mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, will begin on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Her body will leave the City Gate Mortuary, Umuahia, to her hometown, Ebem Ohafia, by 2:00 pm. A Service of Songs will hold the same day by 5:00 pm at St. Peters PCN, Ebem-Oha Parish, followed by a wake keep at Chidimna Avenue, Ebem Ohafia, by 7:00 pm.
The final funeral service is scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10:00 am. It will be an open-air service officiated by St. Peters PCN, Ebem-Oha Parish, at the Ohafia LGA Field. Interment will follow immediately after the service.
Late Ezinne Nnennaya Olanma Uduma Ukoha was described by family and community members as a virtuous woman who lived an impactful life, touching the lives of many through her kindness, wisdom, and devotion to God.
The burial announcement was signed by her son, Mazi Uche Uduma Ukoha, on behalf of the family.
Friends, relatives, and sympathizers from far and near are expected to gather in Ebem Ohafia to pay their last respects to the departed matriarch.
