The Abia State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, on January 14, 2025, held a decoration ceremony for 63 officers recently promoted to higher ranks.
The event took place at the Command’s Officers’ Mess in Umuahia.
The promotions included 16 officers elevated from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), 11 officers from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP), and 36 officers from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
While addressing the officers, CP Danladi Isa charged them to demonstrate a renewed commitment to duty, professionalism, and accountability. He highlighted the significance of their new roles, stating, “To whom much is given, much is expected,” and urged them to maintain integrity while avoiding any form of misconduct, particularly corruption and incivility towards the public.
In their response, the promoted officers expressed profound gratitude for the recognition and pledged to remain steadfast, diligent, and professional in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The ceremony was attended by senior officers, family members, and friends who celebrated the achievements of the newly decorated officers.
