In an effort to make roster changes for the upcoming season, Real Madrid, led by President Florentino Perez, is reportedly planning to sell seven of its players.

Seven players whose contracts are about to expire have reportedly been blacklisted by Real Madrid, according to Fichajes, as Perez is keen to release those who have not performed up to expectations this season.

Eden Hazard, a former star for Chelsea, is the most well-known name on the list. He joined Real Madrid in 2019 for a club-record sum of €115 million.

However, in 75 games in all competitions for Los Blancos, Hazard has only tallied seven goals and twelve assists.

Another factor contributing to Perez’s dissatisfaction with the 32-year-old is his injury problems.

Andriy Lunin, whose contract with Real Madrid expires in 2024, Jesus Vallejo, whose deal expires in 2025 and who has only appeared in four games this year, and Spanish right-back Alvaro Odrizola, who has made only five appearances this year, are among the other players who are expected to leave the club.

The other players are midfielder Mariano Daaz, who will also become a free agent in the summer, and Ferland Mendy, whose contract expires in 2025 and who has contributed one assist in 25 games this season.
