The Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Forum in Kebbi State, Sani Zauro, has disclosed that Governor Abubakar Bagudu will hand over power to the current Minister of Justice/Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubukar Malami, in 2023.

Announcing this during the Birnin Kebbi Local Council congress of APC, at the weekend, Zauro said the decision became necessary due to the achievement of the APC government in the state and at the national level.

“Governor Bagudu has assured us that Malami is the best candidate that will succeed him, and we are also in support of that because Malami has done a lot to the people of Kebbi,” he added.

Zauro also directed the Minister of Justice to inform President Muhammadu Buhari that Bagudu delivered the dividends of democracy to Kebbi people by providing jobs and other means of survival.

In his remarks, Malami expressed gratitude to God for blessing Kebbi with an array of professionals in all fields, including politics.

The minister urged delegates to maintain the peace recorded at the ward and local council congresses during the state congress and national convention.
