Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has thanked Social media giant, Twitter for removing President Buhari’s controversial tweet citing the 1967 Civil war.
The President had tweeted on Tuesday night; “Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand,”.
The tweet was pulled down by Twitter on Wednesday afternoon after several Nigerians reported it. Reacting to the development, Kanu stated;

“Thank you, @Twitter for DELETING the hate-filled tweet by the account fronting as @MBuhari. What you did proves that the rulers of Nigeria who feel they’re not accountable to #Biafrans for their crimes will ultimately account to the international community. #ThisIsNot1967.”
