Women in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of Abia State are now in jubilant mode as the APC candidate for the constituency, High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke has finally revealed his plans for them if elected into the House. In a statement on Wednesday, the philanthropist expressed readiness to mobilize empowerment support that will make the women self-reliant through business start-ups and others. He said, "I will facilitate and lobby for grants to empower our women to be self-reliant and create empowerment programs, provide skill acquisition and equipment for business startups to reduce poverty, and improve the livelihood and well-being of our women. "It is no doubt that our people are well known for our industrious and commercial culture therefore, I will also build markets and construct roads to support and encourage trade in the rural areas."
