A chieftain of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Abia State and Candidate of YPP for Ohafia South State Constituency in Abia State, Hon. Arua Goodluck Egwu has dumped the party.
In a resignation letter addressed to his ward chairman, in Ebem Ohafia Ward in Ohafia LGA of the state, Hon. A said he took the personal decision after wide consultation.
He said, “I wish to formally resign my membership of the Young Progressive Party, with effect from the date of this letter.
“This is for personal reasons, after wide consultations with friends and members of my family.
“I want to thank the Party for the opportunity afforded me to have served the state in my own little capacity”.
As made known to our correspondent, he confirmed the resignation, alleging that the change allows him to effectively align his personal goals with the Labour Party platform that he believes best reflects his current political views.
“ I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have served under YPP.
“ I am proud of the work we have accomplished together, and I have the utmost respect for the party leadership and my fellow members,” Arua Said
