The Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah has congratulated a stalwart of APC in Abia state, Chief Nyerere Anyim on his confirmation by the Senate as the South East Commissioner in National Pension Commission (PenCom).
The minister said this is again for the people of the region in not only having good representation in the country’s governance process but having a bright mind with intellectual capacity in the person of Chief Nyerere to represent the people.
In a statement her personally endorsed on Sunday, Chief Ogah who described Chief Nyerere as personal friend and brother maintained that he has distinguished himself as a man of rich administrative dexterity and intelligential sagacity.
“Chief Nyerere is a patriot whose integrity and ability to bring changes is never in doubt. He has distinguished himself as an entrepreneur and led our great party at its topmost echelon as the National Vice Chairman South East.

“He becomes even a more perfect fit for the PenCom job especially as an elder statesman who understands the importance of effective regulatory agency to millions of our pensioners who have devoted their youthful age in serving the country.
“I have no doubt in mind that he will be a significant value addition in our country’s foremost pension regulator and a hand that will ease the burden of our senior citizens in their quest for a better life after meritoriously serving our dear nation,” Ogah said.
While wishing Chief Nyerere a successful stay in office, Ogah charged the PenCom management to continue ensuring that the huge assets in the sector standing at over 11 trillion Naira is utilized in changing the face of the country’s infrastructure through Sukuk and others.
