You Are A Drunkard – Atiku Abubakar Replies Governor Wike

The PDP candidate and other party officials organized A protest against alleged irregularities that tainted the conduct of the presidential election.

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, has encouraged Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, not to speak while intoxicated.

On Friday, Wike claimed he was sipping a 40-year-old whisky when Atiku led demonstrators to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Abuja. He made the claim while speaking to supporters in Rivers State’s Emohua Local Government Area.

The PDP candidate and other party officials organized A protest against alleged irregularities that tainted the conduct of the presidential election.

The biggest opposition party in the nation has requested that the election results be thrown out, and that troubled areas have new elections.

“I just sat down and drank a 40-year whisky as they were protesting. When they were objecting, I phoned a few of my pals and opened the 40-year-old whisky,” Wike had stated.

Atiku advised the governor to abstain from drinking in a statement released on Sunday by his Special Assistant on Public Media, Phrank Shuaibu, saying that “it has not only impaired his voice and demeanor but also his cognitive power.”

“Gov. Wike has reaffirmed what we all already know. That he is inebriated. On March 6, 2023, Waziri Atiku Abubakar led a demonstration against the stealing of the Nigerian people’s mandate, which was a just cause in and of itself.”

“Just to be clear, the protest happened at approximately 11.30 am. On a Monday at 11.30 am, Governor Wike claims to have been drinking whisky during the demonstration. This exposes the type of person he is—a drunkard who skips work on Monday mornings to drink whisky.”

“This explains why he spoke in a harsh manner.”
