David Nwokorie, the Special Adviser on Media & Publicity to Engr. Ndubueze Patrick, the Senator representing Imo North, says the lawmaker will deploy his professional knowledge and wealth of experience in ensuring that federal projects executed by the Federal Ministry of Works when constituted are delivered in record time and meet the best global standards.
He made this known while reacting to the appointment of Engr. Ndubueze as Chairman, Senate Committee on works by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday.
Recall that the President of the Senate Tuesday announced the standing committees and the substantive chairmen.
Mr. Nwokorie stated that Senator Ndubueze, an astute and veteran Civil Engineer with over 3 decades years of experience, will ensure robust legislative oversight of federal government infrastructural projects, especially road construction, and rehabilitation.
His words, “Senator Ndubueze’s appointment as chairman of the Senate committee on works is commendable, well deserved and is in no doubt a decision made with his experience and expertise fully considered.
“As a Civil Engineer with over 30 years of experience, Senator Ndubueze will no doubt optimize his knowledge to ensure that infrastructural projects undertaken by the Federal Ministry of Works are executed in within the stipulated time in line with Global best practices.
“I do not doubt that Distinguished Senator Ndubueze Patrick will provide the legislative oversight needed to ensure that pivotal projects such as road construction, bridges, housing, and urban renewal are executed in line with International standards”
