Malama Khadija, a Kano State woman who married her daughter’s boyfriend, says her decision to marry him is final and nothing can change it.
She vowed never to quit the marriage irrespective of what people are saying about her decision.
Malama Khadija, a Kano State woman who married her daughter’s boyfriend, claims her decision is final and that nothing can change it.
She vowed she would never leave the marriage, no matter what others said about her decision.
She stated that she is unconcerned about what people think about her action because she has not offended the Almighty God.
The story of Khadija’s action has sparked debate in Kano, with many people questioning whether it’s true, while others debate the legitimacy of marriage in Islam.
Remember that Khadija stated that she left her first marriage to marry her daughter’s boyfriend to ensure that she and her daughter did not lose the handsome man.
In response to the uproar in her family and the state, Khadija stated that she had no regrets.
“I’m curious why people are after my marriage,” she said. I made the choice on my own. Nobody made me do it. My daughter turned down the man, and I felt we couldn’t lose him. We have a happy marriage, and I enjoy my time with him.
“I want people to know that when I asked clerics about the legitimacy of this marriage, they said there was no problem. As a result, I will not annul this marriage. I’m staying; I don’t need any advice.”
In response to the allegation against Hisbah Commandant of Rano LGA, Khadija stated that he did not force her to marry.
The state’s Hisbah command, on the other hand, has constituted a committee to investigate the matter.
