Hughes adjourned the case until Aug. 2 for mention.
Meanwhile, The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has again implored President Bola Tinubu to see the incarceration of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, as an issue of national significance and order his immediate release.
The group said this in reaction to a call by the Coalition of Northern Group, CNG, urging Tinubu not to release Kanu.
However, IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, warned that the continued detention of Kanu portends grave danger for Nigeria.
Powerful described the Northern coalition as clueless for urging Tinubu not to release Kanu.
