A middle aged woman, Nelly Onyebueke has been confirmed dead in a Benin hospital few days after admission for malaria and related ailments.
Husband of the deceased, the Managing Director of Lumumba International Group Ltd, Dr. Mayor Onyebueke in a chat with ABN TV on Thursday while expressing sadness over the death of his wife said he discovered she was getting weaker after she was administered medication on Sunday.
He added that while series of malaria treatments were being administered, it was discovered that her blood sugar had gone up, a health issue she never experienced before.
Dr. Onyebueke however admitted that the late wife was before now hypertensive.
She was said to have started breathing faster, a situation later discovered to be pneumonia after the medical examination of her chest.
The late Mrs. Onyebueke was later placed on oxygen where she passed on.
