The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said it will deal ruthlessly with office holders who steal public funds.
The EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, stated this on Monday during the first President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Leadership Conference and Awards organised by the Global Initiative for Leadership Success in Abuja.
He said the commission was resolute about enforcing the law and delivering on its mandate.
Olukoyede, who was represented by the Director of Public Affairs, Wilson Uwujaren, asked the future generation to imbibe the virtues of the late President Yar’Adua, saying his legacies spoke volumes.
He said, “If anybody steals public funds, you won’t get away with it. All the crimes we are set out to fight are based on integrity deficit. Integrity deficit means absence of integrity.”
