We Will Not Accept Peace-Disrupting Activities – Police Warn Ondo Residents

The Police in Ondo State on Tuesday said it had read the riot act to some political elements planning to cause unrest by mobilising youths for their selfish interest in the state.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the Ondo State Command, SP. Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Akure.

According to Odunlami-Omisanya, the attention of the Police in Ondo State has been drawn to reports that some people are planning to cause mayhem in the state.

“Through our intelligence reports, some political elements are bent on disrupting the peace of the state through concerted efforts and mobilisation of unsuspecting youths.

Sponsored

“Specific reports revealed that sponsors seek to cause mayhem with a view to embarrassing the state for certain selfish ends.

“The State Police Command, therefore, warns such elements within the state to retrace their steps or be made to face the wrath of the law.

“Meanwhile, we are assuring the law-abiding citizens of their safety as they approach the yuletide season,” the PPRO said. (NAN)
