We Raped Delta Pepper Dealer, Cut Off And Sold Body Parts For N100,000 — Suspect

Following the raid of criminal elements arraigned from different axis of Delta State, Commissioner of Police, Ali Muhammed Ari has urged the public to work with security agencies to curb insecurity.

During the parade of criminals involved in different illicit activities, a murder suspect, Onoriode Simon, confessed how, in connivance with a fleeing suspect, Akpoghene, who is a shoemaker, raped and killed a 50-year-old pepper seller, Mrs Patience Komone.

According to the suspect, “My name is Onos Simon, I am 25 years old. I hail from Umeh Community, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

“My friend, Akpoghene told me to carry a particular pepper trader from a bush pathway in Umeh to buy pepper. I carried her to the place my friend told me about but when we got there, we did not see anyone selling pepper in the said location. Then, she told us that she would go elsewhere to look for pepper. It was then I saw my friend with a matchete at his back.

“I asked my friend what he wanted to use it for. He replied that he wanted to use it for something. When we got close to our bike, Akpoghene used a machete to hit the woman.

“While the woman was struggling for life, we kept her at the corner of the road and had sex with her, after which we checked her bag and saw N40, 000. He then used the matchete to cut out her private part and removed her eyes.

“After three days, people started looking for the woman. People who saw me when I carried her on my bike, asked me of her whereabouts.

“It was then I told them what happened, then they started beating me. My friend gave me N50,000 after selling the body parts of the woman for N100, 000 to one man.

“I did not know Akpoghene was going to do such a thing because I have never done such a thing with him. He is now on the run but I know he is in Umeh Community.”

However, CP Ari has said that efforts are on top gear to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
