Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has stated that his administration is focused on long-term development and infrastructure, not handouts or populist policies.
Speaking to political appointees and members of the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council, Otti dismissed the idea of “stomach infrastructure” as unsustainable and counterproductive.
“Abians are not beggars. They are hardworking people who want good roads, a clean environment, and opportunities to thrive. We are not here to share money — we are here to build a future,” the Governor said.

He warned those expecting a government of giveaways to look elsewhere, adding that only those committed to doing things right will remain in his government.
