D’Tigress head coach, Rena Wakama, has admitted that her players were not at their best in the defeat to France.
The African champions fell to a disappointing 75-54 defeat to the hosts in their second group game in the women’s basketball event of the 2024 Olympic Games on Thursday.
Much was expected from D’Tigress after the stunning victory over Australia in their first game on Monday.

The West Africans were, however, totally outplayed by the French in the encounter.
“We didn’t play our game, we are not ourselves, what helped us secure the win on Monday, we didn’t bring today,” Wakama was quoted by FIBA.com.
“It’s tough when you let another team shoot 63 percent inside the paint.
“It’s hard to beat anybody, we need to get back to our ways.”
D’Tigress will face Canada in their last group game on Sunday.
