A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sir Marc Wabara, has described the death of the immediate past Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu as a collosal loss not only to the people of the South East but the entire country.
Onu died in the early hours of April 11, 2024 at the age of 72.
In a statement, Wabara stated that the late Onu was a man of high integrity, who believed so much in delivering on any assignment that was entrusted upon him.
He said the people of Ebonyi State, and indeed Nigeria have lost a man of principle, adding that the former Minister was resourceful, diligent, dedicated and possessed a pleasant personality, and would be missed by all that had one thing or the other to do with him.
Wabara further said the late Onu, who was the first civilian governor of Abia State, was widely known for his commitment to exemplary service to the growth and unity of the country.
The APC stalwart, who condoled with the good people of Ebonyi State in general and the immediate family of late Ogbonnaya Onu in particular, added that the Nation had lost a quintessential professional in politics.
