“I saw a man with a beautiful mind. He was tired of killing of people, tired of spilling of blood, he was tired of people using his name to commit havoc around the South Eastern region.
“He wants a paradigm shift and said that when he is out, he is going to push with me on this issue peace. Peace is better than conflict and war, and peace is better than crisis, he said peace is better in South East.
“He said I have seen the efforts you’re making with regards to South East Development Commission. Are you sure this government is trustworthy enough to apend their signature on that piece of legislation.
“I said there is a shift between the way things used to be in Nigeria then and now, that I believe so much in this government. He said you would convince me when he puts his signature on this piece of legislation.
“He went on to say, if he (Tinubu) signs that piece of legislation, if means he is intentional in his love for Ndigbo. It means he is honest for his love for Ndigbo and that will mean a lot. I’m quoting him word for word”, Kalu said.
