VIDEO: “Church Should Be Economic Refuge For Members” – Nigerian Gospel Singer, Tonneil Avo

Popular Nigerian Reggae Gospel Singer, Tonneil Avo has emphasized the need for the church to serve as an economic safety net for its members.

In a recent video broadcast, Avo lamented the current state of Nigeria’s economy, stressing that the church should be a viable alternative for financial support.

“Where it will become so bad as Nigeria is, Nigeria’s economy is suffering right now. They are supposed to come to the church and borrow money,” he said.

Avo revealed that 56% of the world’s finance is in the hands of Christians, yet this wealth is not being utilized to support fellow believers. He argued that the church community should have its own “legal tender,” enabling members to access financial resources without relying on external institutions.

Avo’s comments come as many Nigerians struggle to cope with the country’s economic challenges. His message highlights the importance of economic empowerment within the church community.
