Unknown Gunmen Kill Anglican Priest, Set Car Ablaze In Imo [PHOTOS]

Unknown gunmen have terminated the life of an Anglican Priest, Rev Emeka Merenu, and set his car ablaze in Iheteukwa, Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.

The priest who hails from Nkwerre was gruesomely murdered on Tuesday morning reportedly over a rumour that he brought in Soldiers to protect the church as a School under his supervision.

“The late Merenu was the second runner up to the current Principal when they were looking for the current principal of St Augustine’s Grammar School, Nkwerre Imo State (SAGS)”, a source disclosed.

The priest’s death has been confirmed by the House of Assembly Member representing Nkwerre local government area of Imo State, Obinna Okwara.

This unfortunate incident is coming amidst a ‘Sit-at-home’ order by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
