University Don Applauds Senator Kalu’s Investment In Over 600 Youths, Sponsorship Of 20+ Abroad

A renowned academic and professor, Eni Kalu, has commended Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for his unwavering commitment to youth advancement and human capital development, describing education as the most powerful tool for securing Nigeria’s future.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, Professor Kalu said Senator Kalu’s educational investments have set a model for purposeful leadership, both during his tenure as Governor of Abia State and in his current role as Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District.

“Investment in education is the best way to secure the future,” the professor stated. “Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has consistently prioritized education, sponsoring more than 20 Abia youths abroad for programs in Medicine, Surgery, Doctoral studies, MBAs, and other professional fields. Additionally, over 600 youths are currently studying in Nigeria with his support, benefitting from his resources and encouragement to excel.”

He added that Kalu’s approach represents “human capital development at its finest,” noting that education does more to tackle insecurity, poverty, and youth restiveness than mere social gatherings or political hangouts.

Professor Kalu also praised the senator’s legacy in Abia’s education sector, recalling his landmark free education policy as Governor, which opened access to quality education for thousands of children.

“As a senator, Kalu has not rested on his laurels. He has reconstructed over 150 schools, provided science and mathematics textbooks, uniforms, and school bags to students, and improved the teaching and learning environment across Abia North,” the professor noted.

He stressed that Kalu’s focus on education is a deliberate strategy to build a more prosperous future for the region and the nation at large.

“Senator Kalu’s consistent investment in education proves that he sees beyond politics. He is laying the foundation for tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and change-makers. When you invest in education, you invest in the future of a nation,” Professor Kalu concluded.
